Sav-Rx Support & Implementation Services
If you select to discontinue retiree prescription coverage effective December 31, 2005 it is important that you communicate this to your retirees as early as possible, and notify them about what portion, if any, of the Medicare Part D premium your group will be covering in 2006. You may elect to direct members to 1-800-MEDICARE to assist them in making an informed decision about the Medicare Part D Plans available in their specific regions.
Communication Support
Sav-Rx Prescription Services will provide the following services to groups that select to discontinue coverage:
Customer Service Flag / Alert – A special flag indicating that retiree coverage has been discontinued will be set on our customer service system. This flag will alert the Sav-Rx customer service team in case they receive calls from your retirees with questions about their 2006 prescription benefit. Based on your requirements, we will also flag your group record with your selection of message to be provided to retirees. You can choose to have our customer service team direct your retiree to 1-800-MEDICARE, or you can elect for us to direct the retiree to call your office or an assigned representative.
Optional Services include:
Assistance in designing the communication package to retirees informing them of their coverage termination and counseling them to enroll in a Medicare Part D Plan of their choice.

In order to ensure consistent communication to your retirees, a special flag will be set in our customer service system to notify our customer service call center of the retiree coverage termination and include information about where the retiree should be directed. Options include: directing members to 1-800-MEDICARE, to the group, or to a representative or an organization assigned by you. |
